Pollen Tribe presents
Mid Winter Dance
‘Journey into the belly of the Earth’
The word ‘Imbolc’, is said to have derived from the Irish ‘i mbolg’ ; meaning ‘in the belly’. Let us give thanks for the ground on which we dance, as we ’journey into the belly of the earth’.
Whilst traditionally celebrated in various cultures as the first day of Spring, Imbolc is also referred to as mid winter. In the Celtic tradition this cross quarterly festival marked the mid way point between the Winter Solstice & Spring Equinox.
As we cross this threshold, and we head towards the spring light; the first snowdrops are emerging from the cold winter ground, and we are reminded of the abundant, warmer days soon to come; where green shoots appear as if by magic, and blossom into their new life, of leaf and flower.
We welcome you to join us from your deep winter nest; for an inspired sound system powered night of dancing, performance, delicious treats, and community celebration.
DOORS OPEN - 6:45pm
MUSIC STARTS: 7pm
(Please note the slightly earlier start time; making the most of this wonderful opportunity to dance together.)

In 2018 she co-founded ‘Rave Ritual’, an absurdist boundary pushing ecstatic dance experience run by DJ collective Witch Clown. They have been conjuring mischief and mayhem on dance floors around the UK for the past 2 years in collaboration with The Psychedelic Society and Noisily Festival.
