Pollen Tribe presents

PLANTS & DANCE

We are pleased to announce "Plants & Dance" our spring and summer program; a series of intro style and experimental workshops and dances inspired by nature connection, and the more experimental edges where conscious dance meets plant wisdom, and soundsystem culture.

This series of events is part funded by the National Lottery, and so we are happy to say that half of the tickets on this entire program will be offered at half price, and a large portion will also be offered at a concessionary rate, as well as donation based events such as this one.

As part of the ongoing vision to buy seeds and repopulate our native lands with nectar rich plants & native wildflowers, 10% of any profits raised will be put towards this mission.

SHINRIN-YOKU FOREST BATHING & FIVE SENSES FORAGING

We are excited to welcome you to two introductory style workshops with Dr. Harry Hilser & Honor Wolf. Hosted at the lush setting of The Glade, at The Woodland Presents, Dartington Estate.

WORKSHOP 1

Please arrive from 10:30am. Workshops starts at 11am.

Introduction to Shinrin-yoku forest bathing

with Harry

We warmly welcome you to join us on an immersive and rejuvenating experience of Shinrin-yoku (Japanese for 'forest bathing') in the Dartington Woods. Shinrin-yoku offers a series of invitations - activities and methods to tune into the environment and deepen our connection by focusing on each of our senses. A balance will be provided between the ancient spiritual foundations that guided the emergence of the practice, the science that surrounds the benefits and roots of why it works, and the plain and simple fulfilment and wellbeing which comes intuitively through totally immersing oneself in nature and switching off from the stresses of our busy, complex lives. The experience often evokes feelings of gratitude, humility, and kinship. It is a proven, effective practice which has a compelling body of scientific evidence to demonstrate its powerful physical and psychological effects. There is a fascinating world of insights and interconnections that shinrin-yoku helps bring to life, ready to help us heal and promote wellbeing in ourselves and in others.

FIVE SENSES FORAGING

Come on a mindful and delicious journey through Dartington North Woods, foraging for edible plants, and fungi, with a look at collecting water to drink. We will explore Sight, Touch, Taste, Smell and Sound to know our woodland friends and allies. Outdoorswoman Honor Wolf and Conservationist and Shinrin-yoku forest bathing facilitator Dr. Harry Hilser will share an experience of nature that not only empowers you with the facts but encourages a deeper, more intimate connection to the other than human world through meditative sensory exploration.

Let us form strong kinship bonds with the life around us, sustaining one another in right relationship.

14:30-15:30pm - Time at the end for fire, friendship and foraged herbal tea for those that choose. See you in the woods!
